I have been trying to perfect the making of tonkotsu broth for a long time now. Making the broth right is never easy. There have been many attempts throughout the years and I could proudly say that I have finally nailed it this time.
Anyone who watched Doraemon anime or read it’s comic who probable know that Doraemon loves Dorayaki. I remember when i was young, I always wonder what does dorayaki taste like as it is not commonly found in Malaysia. I imagined it would taste nice as it was Doraemon only food of choice~
Making red bean paste is actually quite a cakewalk. All you need is just red beans, sugar, and a little bit of patient. Thus there is no excuse not to try it. I usually make a big portion and refrigerate it for a week. It can be made into different dessert like dorayaki, use it as a topping on your matcha ice cream, or even spread it on your bread toast.
Years ago when i was in Osaka with my missus (then girlfriend), we made a trip to see one of the must see sight in Osaka known as the Umeda Sky Tower. I remembered it was raining that day and we did not hang around too long but went shopping at Yodobashi Camera which was just beside the Osaka-Umeda station. We shopped for quite awhile and bought a few souvenir (gundam kit!!).
It needs no introduction, Bakuteh is by far one of the most famous dish in Malaysia. If you try to google must eat food in Malaysia and changes are that you would see Bakuteh as a must try dish.
